In my 13 years or so of studying, I have never been so stressed out. Not even during PSLE or O levels, I still remember just before my science paper for PSLE, i went to play Red Alert 2 at my friends house, and during O levels we were supposed to study but ended up playing pool and on exam day, we went to my house to spot topics.
wowser~ now its a no bullshit stage, citations, bibliography, you name it, its a shit load.
and not to mention, just the perfect person to guide us along with the shitload. no further comments.

Outward Bound Singapore is really a great place to be, after seeing Faisal do his job and the other instructors, it kinda really pushes me to work towards it. I know preparation wouldn't be easy at all, after hearing Faisal talk about it. But, i'm the kind of guy that take things as they come and hopefully they're just nice for me to cope.
Nothing i say can describe the experience i had 1 week in OBS.

it's been a week since i last updated.
nothing much has been happening except, i ran outta fish food and I'm PROCRASTINATING to buy their food. But lucky for me, its a planted tank(so its self sustaining, i think) and hell if I'm living inside i'll tell you what i have in there to eat when there's no food dropping from the skies(for the fishes that's the case).
Hung out with my buddies over the long weekend, 5 days. And it flew by, i'm having lessons tomorrow already. I wanna go on IIP(attachment) soon, but damn I'm going to hongkong.

Nothing much has been happening, all i know is that my year 3 is fun yet truckloads of reading.
Pam gave me a C. She noticed the problem which i have noticed myself too. Gotta work on overcoming it. Damn. When you're young you always wanna be older, now that you're older, you wish the yesteryears will be there for you once again.
some will tell me "Tell me about it". Well, live life as it is, i've always been the sort where i take life as it comes.

I've been staying back in school like everyday since school reopen. So far, i wasn't in school only on friday.
Gee, really busy uh? Seems like it, but as compared to some others i guess mine is like minimal.
Synergy Committee, so far i have 1 project at hand i think, to plan a 1 day programme for DOAL year 1 students.
Had the SHL gathering camp today, and for some reasons, our project is put on hold for the time being. Politics are brought in and well, the one in charge is kinda rigid and we have other factors to "blame". I don't wanna mention so much, we're all under the same committee and i don't want bad blood. Some of us are course mates or friends.
Hopefully things turn out well, i don't want Ben's efforts to just die out like that.
i guess we're just a bunch of SHL students who want to see things in our school become better than it is.

wah riaoooossss..got A for my Outdoor Leadership, B for my Challenge Course Management and an A for my Culinary Science and Kitchen Operations for the first week..
and i wanted straight As for the first week, but guess CCM was very huhhhhh for me..

With FOP 2009 coming to an end, not entirely the end because i still have my shitload of logistics to clear up and i don't exactly have a partner in reality, in name yes, in reality no.
It was my first time inside a planning committee for something so big, wasn't the best of all first time experience but shouldn't be the worst either. Sad thing i started out too late, kinda don't wanna do all these stuff already, got pretty much on my hands with FYP reading and courses to take up. shucks. I heard i'm in the Synergy IG MC already, and that was like so long ago when i wanted to be inside.

So well its the start of a new semester, a whole new 3rd year, my final year in DOAL(time flies huh).
There's plenty of reading for FYP to do and I'm pretty lagged back, guess i don't have the discipline to prioritise myself properly. Damn, I'm afraid i might get lagged behind my projects and end up retaining another year just to do my FYP and/or PP.
oh well, this is one of the times i feel stressed out. wow.

Besides all those, today being the first day of school, or rather yesterday since its already 12.47am in the tuesday morning. Lessons on Outdoor Leadership was confusing but beneficial, but still have to sort out some stuff, again Pamela is my facilitator. So I'll be having Challenge Ropes Course Management later on with Tham Ying Wai~
hahahahahaha, i wonder what he has up his sleeve, sometimes i really can't figure him out. Me thinks he has split personality..shhhhh..

The night before they lied to me about going to their grandparents house. I believed.
Then today he called me up at 1730hrs, waking me up from my sleep, asking me to go into maple's FM so he could pass me mana exlixirs or something. So i woke up and went to my laptop and switched it on. After sometime then i went into maple.
Then suddenly they sorta barged into the room with me topless and using my laptop.
They snapped pictures of me topless looking stunned.

whoo boy..back from Fernvale Primary camp..first time doing a primary school camp..
well, wasn't so good at the start but gradually got the hang of it..
FOR A START, the kids called me small eyes, THEN, they called me uncle alex, THEN, they called me korkor alex, THEN i was promoted to being called ah gong or ah gong alex.
kids...gee, but a fun bunch i'd say..
I like their school vision - Dare to Aspire, Courage to Excel..

definitely a first of first experience here, many more to come..

back from St Hilda's camp already..it's been the best group by far out of the 3 camps i've been in as a Group Instructor..

tired but, well great group so in a way they got me going. screw ups here and there in camp, but managed to tide through.
I feel sad for the kids who didn't have complete fun, bloody weather to blame and some other stuff.

went out my 3 bestest friends from secondary school today. been long since we last went out as a group.
treated them dinner at fisherman's wharf, hang around some more, bought a book, hang around some more and.....went home..

I really dig Nat Geo a lot, work for them in future maybe.^^
I have no idea weather I'm an outdoor pursuits guy or an outdoor education guy, maybe a little bit of both? This camp stuff seems tough work, but i'll pull through, if my body allows.

This is a shot from OFS camp A, pretty pretty campfire.
Memories, though not really THAT good but still memories i guess. Was the first time i was a group instructor, and apparently i wasn't too good for some people who seems to fail to be there when i perform and only appear when i'm not at standard.

Well, i'm gonna be off to camp in a couple of days time and gonna be away for another 4 days. tired tired tired? Gonna meet new kids again, Leadership Camp for St Hilda's Secondary.

back from the OFS camp, 2 camps back to back..
tired nuts man..got to be group instructors for both camps..
some peoples eyes are just blind to see things, they only manage to see the bad side of people and they think they're fucking good..

back with injuries, and my muscles are aching, maybe i'm sick, no idea why..ah shucks, i don't know what else to say in my blog..
i feel so busy nowadays. FYP feels like a killer, i'm in FOP but apparently there seems to be nothing for me to do but they're spamming my email like nuts and camps are like..wooooboyyy..
have so much reading to do, i just feel so tired..

i'll update when i have things to say thennnn..nothing for now..
guess i'll keep myself busy to forget things.

for the first time in 6 years, i spent valentine with my friends and not a girlfriend!
went to grab fish n' chips with poly friends at Fishermen's Wharf, after waiting for them for an hour cus they were late.
met up with alvin and yide after that, they were studying but after my presence enlightened them that they were studying aimlessly, we decided to take a walk.
went to marina barrage to hang out for a bit, had some fun with yide's dad's DSLR.

i'm wanna get the Olympus shock & waterproof camera, think it cost $600. its the ideal camera for my field of work/studies. I'M WAITING FOR MY BIRTHDAY, haha..

anyway, gonna be away on camp till end of this week, probably friday i think?
i heard there's gonna be another camp next week 25th-27th february, not sure about that though.
Camps galore, guess this is an appetizer of how OBS is gonna be just that OBS is gonna be probably 10 folds more tiring and such. I still have OBHK to attend in october, shucks.

So far so good for everything I'd say...
took part in the recent 2009 Climb.Max, my team clinched a strong 2nd place..yeaaaaa, we're climbers...not...HAAAA..
the only reason why we got second this time round was because there was only 3 teams that took part in the team climbing category. Wasn't like the last time i guess cus its on different days and everyone's too busy with their own stuff...

well, this week has been a packed one for me. shucks, i've been so caught up with school stuff and such. haven't been meeting up with my buddies for sometime. damn.

the next great thing that's happened, well, is the interview that went on today. I'm pretty sure it went on well, though it sounds really shit job but hell yeah, i'm ready for it. Sure saying that i can do it i can do it is easy, doing it would be another different thing. I gotta control emotions, prioritize activities, and plenty to go along with that. Its gonna be a whole new thing.
To take things to a higher level and to challenge myself.
I never was scared to dream big, was only afraid of the fall. But with every fall, i'll learn from my mistakes. Oh well, wish me luck~
I'll need all the help i can get.

so Open House is in session currently, i dropped by to help out...and the grand finale was to talk to Lee Hsien Loong's brother who is the Board of Governor or something like that...
It went well i suppose, got quite a number of people to look through our booth though it still seemed quiet as compared to the other SHL booths.
Next day would be on the Saturday...hope it goes well~

overseas attachment interview coming up on friday..I'm not really nervous about it, curbed the habit of getting nervous, now i know, slow and easy and calm gets it all done.

Went to Hort Parks yesterday with ahBon & Yanni,
shit man, i gotta work on my topography and route planning skills, brought them on the wrong side, and thus we didn't conquer The Southern Ridges like planned. Gerri isn't in Singapore, so she didn't join us, Mia had her FTT so she didn't join us either. Can't think of any other close OAL mates.
Initially wanted to go over to Labrador Park too but well, time factor. Maybe another day after Gerri comes back.

Went cycling earlier on,
-stiff neck
-3 hours of sleep
-no warm up at all
-nauseous
-cycled a fair bit(though little)

spent the last 2 days doing nothing but rotting at home. hahahhaahha..
oh yeahh, yesterday was with Jiahan over at my place. Eat snacks for dinner.
hahahahahahha..he finally left my house nearing 1am.
Today was no difference either, except i slept till 5pm and then did practically nothing for the whole day.
I just cooked a simple pasta meal and watching The Bucket List now.
Hopefully I'll have something to do for later on, as in Monday. haaaaa~

Hopefully the games Gerri and I did will pass Tham's expectations and need slight adjustment if better, none at all.

Gerri's leaving for HK in about 2hours time, everyone seems to be going for holidays or something.

BOO YA~~~ haaaaa..
okkk, here for a little update.
so, we went to Sungei Buloh yesterday, meaningful trip i'd say. Plenty to learn and also to share about. Quite alot went along, the few usual OAL people and a few "unusual" ones. haaaaa...
Had plenty of sightings of flora and fauna, more attention on fauna cus i have more prior knowledge on them. But i have to learn about the flora too, to boost aku's knowledge!!
Plenty of monitor lizards around, oh yeah, the climaxing point. I stood next to a snake without knowing it was there. And i was still thinking that it was a leave tip and amazed at why is was swirling away before i realized it was a snake --> -.-"
HAHAHAHAHHA...i know a tree snake is non-poisonous!! BUT BUT BUT, you have to be fair. I think it was my first encounter, being so close to a snake. so shuddup :(

not long after, the whole trip ended. Then the gang went back to Causeway Point, and soon after splitted up. I hung out with Gerri and Jiahan, they spent sooooo long finding a place to it, and after reading this part they're prolly gonna blame me for dragging them around. Decided @ Pizza Hut, then headed back to school. I borrowed Jean's Kona Caldera!! Nice ride but cus of her clipless pedals, i didn't really go fast(my balls small).
Crazy exercise filled day, Jiahan did 2 rounds on the track running(BAIK LAA!!). Gerri ran fast but wanna act humble so claim she runs slow, and FYI Gerri, I RUN SLOW(really swear).

Then for today, went back to school to clean up some camp equipment. Tmd, nvm, don't wanna comment so much on it. A few of us hung out, slacked around @ Koufu(SHL/DOAL homeground sehhhh, sorta). Then Gerri, Ya-Nee and i stayed around school, hung out at the library & Student Forum. First time i hung out at there.
AND TAN YANNI, basket, keep pulling my North Face jacket. Kecil Hati siol~
then then then we headed back home. lolololol...
yanni said i could date her...cus then she can hit me. BLOODY HELL.

went out with jiahan just now, did some little retail therapy to take my mind off things.
Gerri was supposed to come along, but she was apparently too bloody lazy to move her ass, so she gave it a miss.
so i met jiahan at somerset, went over to Paragon to get his Bees Knees, rich bugger.
so we walked about a little, then i decided i wanna get The North Face slippers, so we head over to Suntec City and got it. After that, headed over to airport to check out Outdoors(why did i go there you ask? cus i pay 7% lesser, aku miser can? :D)
guess who we saw while we were gonna get Coffeebean??
ADDISON ONG! lol, with his colleague. i needed a Nets to get 10% lesser, so headed over with Addi, and he paid first before i return him the $$. I bought a Salomon tee, retail $80, with the % off, i only paid $44. cheap x 999999999999999.....

then we headed off, bid addi and his colleague goodbye. Anyway Addi's gonna go off to Szechuan to freeze his ass off, shall bid him good luck, also to ai chin and fook wah.

I WANNA GO CAMPING AGAIN!! funny how when you're at the camp, you wanna go home, and when you're back home you wanna go for camp again. queer.

hay haa people, i'm back from camp@Ubin.
everything went great except for a couple of glitches here and there. Was the first time i paddled so much, seriously. I almost died. I shan't really blog out the details about the camp. Close friends we'll definitely talk about it soon, friends who were previously close but i've chosen to erase from my life go figure how it went.
kinda shagged out but then again, i'm roaring to go, i think. HAAAA..
naaahhh, probably still gotta get a day of rest or so? gotta get used to the lifestyle, subsequent times probably gonna be tougher.

i'm pretty much happy with how my DOAL friends are getting together these days. At least we're bitching about the common ones, sharing the same interests, looking out for one another, hanging around just doing random stuff or nothing at all.
pretty much hope we'll be great friends doing cool stuff together.

camp is nearing, having some internal conflict but we're keeping things under wraps among us all.
oh yeahhhh, i played badminton with weihow and naz and his friends, while the OAL peeps waited for me =p i owe themmm......

anyway, we're gonna head to beach road tomorrow to check out camp essentials and what we might need.

oh yeah, before i forget. just wanna say my legs are fugging weak, due to waking up @ 8am and riding. wanted to ride to harbourfront, lucky those 2 buggers and i decided we're too lazy, and we just went to beach road. The ride itself was a killer, and i have no idea why i have difficulties riding this path this time.
tomorrow's land based and.....well...we'll be "building" valleys and ridges and cliffs and such. i think.

Went out with aud on saturday and ended up in a mess. Not worth mentioning, as deduced from her own blog postings. Never mind that. Went to Dave's house later on, his equipment is...crazy.
Like serious crazy kinda crazy. Slacked for sometime and off we went for standard charter.

Standard Charter Marathon Volunteer has nothing interesting to be worth mentioning about. Apart from me doing a little work and slacking a long way through with Yanni. Plus a few unsightly sights that was like a totally no-no, and plenty more bitching of the usual you-people-know-who.

The waiting time was crazy and I'm like fugging sleepy. So after the event we went to hang out for a bit, grabbed food and then walked a little before everyone left and i went to hang out with jiahan.
Okok, to make a long story short. Walked with jiahan@Suntec City, then Raffles Place, met up with Tham, tried shoes, but getting next week, chit chat with Tham a little, he left, Jiahan and i left for his place, i fell asleep on his bed(tmd shiok + i was fugging tired), left for katong(grabbed dinner there), then i went back on 43, came back home, read a yucky blog(about someone who does massive flirting and serious dreaming, quite in the face, readers will know who if I/we do bitch with you) and now i'm blogging...

So, that pretty much sums up my interesting life~!! TAAAA-DAAAAAA~~~
okokokok, i'm bushed and tomorrow is gonna be a riding trip from hougang to Sentosa(?)...
seriously, just fuck me:(

kayaking today, tiring stuff man... I'm kinda wasted.
Well, i guess the highlight of today was that Jiahan did finish the walk and I'm glad to hear that he wants to do something about himself. But lifestyles are hard to change i know, but if you set your heart to it, I'm sure we're all here to help you out.
THEN, I did my first trail running, ran admiralty park - 2KM. I swear, i was wasted before and after that i was more wasted. tmd~
Thanks to ST, Mia, Gerri & Sandy for joining us. Last but not least Jiahan for wanting to do this for himself. And and and and, his goal is to pass NAPFA for when we're in Yr3!!

Grabbed KFC dinner with Khai, Mia, Sandy and Jiahan after that, Gerri left us to meet her friend.
Chit-chatted, bitched about the usual hot topic in OAL and some other stuff. Its nice to chill out with friends every now and then, especially the OAL peeps.
So now i'm home blogging about stuff here. Damnnnn tireddddddd...

anyway, just to add on to the post. well, lessons went alright, went for camp food ic meeting @ ripples.
and just after lessons, Pam talked to me, about going into OBS. Like how i should study hard?, show results to facilitators who can write a good testimonial for me so help me in entering OBS, i've shown results to Allen, i believe. I've probably gotta work harder(hope i can), oh well.

plans for friday after school = a walk in admiralty park! I've been there for like 5-7 times. With different agendas for each time, and tomorrow's walk is another agenda.
Well, thanks to Sandy, Mia, Gerri, Eunice, Suat ting for joining in. At least Jiahan is showing positive attitude to what he's doing. Kudos to that!
Probably would try to round up more people to join in for a weekly thing, hopefully it'll work and more people would join and Jiahan would see the light~~

ayeeee, I'm in Environmental Education today, and i must say my group is going somewhere. i think.
Well, long story cut and trimmed super short. Played a game to analyze problem solving techniques, read a whole chunk of stuff (serious chunk), slacked and chiong-ed powerpoint, then chiong-ed conclusion, and slack.
ta-daaaaa~ sums up my day, so far. Pretty much this is what happens around here(on a daily basis) unless something happens in between.

Gotta head to Serangoon Ave4 later to check out a 3L water bladder, getting it 2nd hand at $20. Worthy investment i guess? Could stuff it into my backpacks for future expeditions or biking trips.
I'll just update more should anything happen then~

ah gee, this is a 2nd blog, the other was more of an open private blog sorta thing.
wanted to go to livejournal but couldn't think of anything nice nor go through the complications.
I'm more used to blogger's outlay and stuff like that, though i still suck at it.
So, this being the 2nd blog, i'm not sure how long i will post posts before stopping. But this blog would be an open one instead of like the other one i have. I'd probably be posting things about my boring daily life and its happenings.
Probably and hopefully things might spice up and this blog shall go somewhere, not on a advertisement medium sort of somewhere but as a memory tool thingy (or something like that).
Camp are coming up, external projects with Lewis Sparks, work?, personal project thingy(that is and will cost me a bomb. nuke bomb size). Where do i find time for myself?

P.S. And rest assured, there wouldn't be things like a particular livejournal account that has been the hot topic in our BIG BIG BIG family. there wood be proper engrish in thish brog (i think) and i will not pretend like i have the powderful engrish like i am from this US or the Engrand, for i is a ploud kiasu Singkapolean. i will make full usage of the singrish that i have picked up since the day i learned singrish. thanker chiu.
